Qelvea Research & Standards
At Qelvea, “refined” isn’t a vibe — it’s a measurable standard. We track treatment outcomes through opt-in client check-ins to understand what improves longevity, comfort, and wearability across lash lifts and brow lamination.
Our work is guided by the Qelvea Method™ and evaluated using the Qelvea Refined Finish Index™, so results stay soft, balanced, and effortlessly wearable.
We publish periodic insights from our local benchmarking and outcome tracking to help clients make informed choices — with transparency, care, and consistency.

The Qelvea Refined Finish Index™ (RFI)

What It Is

The Qelvea Refined Finish Index™ (RFI) is a 100-point evaluation framework created to define what refined beauty actually means in lash lifts and brow lamination — beyond trends, volume, or boldness.

Rather than focusing on how dramatic a result looks on day one, the RFI measures wearability, balance, comfort, and longevity readiness — the factors clients feel every day.

This index is exclusive to Qelvea.

Why It Exists

Industry standards often reward:

  • maximum lift
  • high saturation
  • dramatic structure

The RFI was created because Qelvea clients consistently prioritised:

  • looking polished without makeup
  • softness over stiffness
  • results that age well over weeks, not hours

The RFI translates those priorities into a measurable system.

The 5 RFI Categories (100 Points Total)

1️⃣ Structural Harmony (0–20)

How well the lash lift or brow shape aligns with:

  • eye shape
  • brow bone
  • natural hair growth pattern

High score: lift/shape enhances the face without distortion
Low score: over-lifted lashes or forced brow direction

2️⃣ Symmetry & Balance (0–20)

Assesses:

  • left/right balance
  • tail consistency
  • inner vs outer proportions

Key principle: symmetry does not mean identical — it means balanced.

3️⃣ Softness & Flexibility (0–20)

Measures:

  • hair movement
  • absence of stiffness or “set” look
  • comfort when touching or brushing

This category separates refined from overprocessed.

4️⃣ Wearability (0–20)

Evaluates how the result performs in real life:

  • makeup-free appearance
  • suitability for work, gym, social settings
  • whether the client feels “done” without effort

This is the most client-reported factor.

5️⃣ Longevity Readiness (0–20)

Assesses:

  • hair condition at finish
  • product balance
  • aftercare alignment
  • likelihood of even fade/grow-out

A result that looks good for 48 hours but degrades poorly scores low.

RFI Score Bands (Client-Facing Language)

  • 90–100Signature Refined Finish
  • 80–89Polished & Wearable
  • 70–79Good, with optimisation advised
  • Below 70Requires technique or aftercare adjustment

Qelvea aims for 80+ on every treatment.

How Qelvea Uses the Index (Authority Signal)

  • Treatments are internally assessed using the RFI
  • Patterns are tracked over time (hair type, lifestyle, aftercare)
  • Techniques are adjusted based on RFI performance, not trends

This makes Qelvea:
✔ outcome-led
✔ data-informed
✔ consistent
✔ accountable

We would love to hear from You.
